Herring in Sour Cream
A Polish cold appetizer with herring, apple, onion, and sour cream
Ingredienti

Istruzioni
If needed, soak the herring fillets in cold water for 30 minutes, then cut into pieces.
Slice the onion into thin half-rings and dice the apple into small cubes.
Mix the sour cream with mustard, lemon juice, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
Add the herring, onion, and apple, and gently stir to combine.
Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to mellow.
Serve with boiled potatoes or rye bread.
