Mince the garlic and chili, and separate the basil from the tough stems.

Mix the soy, fish, and oyster sauce with the sugar.

Heat a wok or pan over high heat, and quickly fry the garlic and chili for 20 seconds.

Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes, breaking up any lumps.

Pour in the sauce and cook for another 1–2 minutes until glossy.

Remove from heat, add the basil, stir, and serve with rice and a fried egg.
