Prepare a yeast dough from milk, yeast, sugar, egg, butter and flour.

Leave the dough to rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.

Divide into balls, flatten each one and place a small spoonful of thick jam in the centre.

Pinch the edges together firmly and shape into round doughnuts.

Leave to rest for 15 min, then deep-fry until golden.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
