Albanian baked lamb with rice and yogurt custard

Ingredients

  • Lamb600 g
  • Rice250 g
  • Plain yogurt200 g
  • Eggs2 pcs
  • Butter40 g
  • Garlic3 cloves
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste
  • Flour2 tbsp
  • Broth500 ml
  • Water500 ml

Instructions

Cut lamb or meat into pieces and brown it.

Add a little water or broth and braise until almost tender.

Cook the rice halfway or add it to the dish with the meat.

Whisk yogurt with eggs, flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Place meat and rice in a baking dish and pour over the yogurt mixture.

Bake at 180°C until the top is golden and the filling is set.
