Butter Chicken
Tender chicken in a creamy tomato sauce scented with Indian spices.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast600 g
- Plain yogurt150 g
- Canned tomatoes400 g
- Heavy cream150 ml
- Onion2 pcs
- Garlic4 cloves
- Fresh grated ginger2 tsp
- Tomato paste2 tbsp
- Garam masala2 tsp
- Butter30 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Cilantro15 g
- Turmeric0.5 tsp
Instructions
Mix the marinade from yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, grated garlic, ginger, and salt. Marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours.
Fry the chicken pieces in a pan for 5-7 minutes, then set aside.
For the sauce, saute onion, garlic, and ginger, then add tomato paste and spices and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the canned tomatoes, simmer for 10 minutes, then blend until smooth.
Pour in the cream, return the chicken, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve with rice or naan, garnished with cilantro and extra cream.
