Irish fruit bread with raisins and tea.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour300 g
  • Raisins80 g
  • Sugar100 g
  • Eggs2 pcs
  • Strong tea250 ml
  • Butter30 g
  • Baking powder1 tsp

Instructions

Soak dried fruit in strong tea for several hours or overnight.

Mix flour, sugar, spices, and baking powder or yeast depending on the version.

Add egg and the soaked fruit with some tea.

Mix into a thick dough or cake batter.

Place in a loaf tin.

Bake at 170-180°C until a skewer comes out clean, and serve with butter.
