Ingredients

  • Wheat flour400 g
  • Plain yogurt200 g
  • Oil2 tbsp
  • Sugar80 g
  • Dry yeast7 g
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Baking soda0.5 tsp
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Milk200 ml

Instructions

Make a soft dough from flour, yogurt or milk, yeast or baking soda, salt, and egg.

Cover and rest for 30-45 minutes so it becomes softer and easier to stretch.

Divide into small pieces and stretch into flat rounds.

Heat oil in a pan.

Fry the mekitsi on both sides until puffed and golden.
