Irish mashed potatoes with spring onion and butter.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes700 g
  • Milk300 ml
  • Butter40 g
  • Spring onion40 g
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste
  • Cream150 ml

Instructions

Peel and boil potatoes until tender.

Slice spring onion and warm it in milk or cream without prolonged boiling.

Drain and mash the potatoes.

Add warm milk with spring onion and butter.

Season with salt and pepper and beat until fluffy.

Serve hot with a knob of butter on top.
