Coq au Vin

A popular french home-style dish with chicken thighs, red wine, mushrooms, well suited for a family weekly menu.

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs800 g
  • Red wine400 ml
  • Mushrooms250 g
  • Onions2 pcs
  • Carrots2 pcs
  • Bacon120 g
  • Thyme2 гілочки
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste
  • Dry wine150 ml

Instructions

For Coq au Vin, cut onions, carrots, chicken thighs and bacon into serving pieces.

Brown chicken thighs and bacon lightly.

Add onions and carrots and cook for 3-5 minutes.

Pour in red wine and add mushrooms and thyme.

Simmer gently until tender and the sauce is thick.

Adjust salt and pepper and serve hot.
