Milk Rice Porridge

Tender rice porridge cooked with milk for breakfast or a simple family meal.

Ingredients

  • Short-grain rice200 g
  • Water300 ml
  • Milk600 ml
  • Sugar2 tbsp
  • Butter30 g
  • Salt0.25 tsp

Instructions

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

Bring water to a boil, add the rice, and cook for 8-10 minutes until partly tender.

Add milk, salt, and sugar.

Simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, stirring often so the porridge does not scorch.

When the rice is soft, stir in the butter.

Cover for 5 minutes and serve warm.
