Naan
Soft Indian flatbread with a chewy texture and browned blistered spots.
Ingredients
- Wheat flour350 g
- Plain yogurt150 g
- Dry yeast7 g
- Butter40 g
- Garlic2 cloves
- Cilantro10 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Sugar1 tsp
- Warm water120 ml
Instructions
Make the dough from flour, yeast, yogurt, salt, sugar, and warm water. Let it rest for 1 hour.
Divide the dough into 6 balls and roll each one to about 5 mm thick.
Heat a grill pan as hot as possible.
Cook each naan for 2 minutes until bubbles and charred spots appear, then flip and cook for 1 minute.
Brush immediately with butter.
If desired, brush with garlic butter and sprinkle with herbs.
