Classic British tea scones served with jam and cream.

Ingredients

  • Flour350 g
  • Baking powder2 tsp
  • Butter80 g
  • Milk180 ml
  • Sugar40 g
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Jam150 g
  • Whipped cream150 g
  • Salt1 to taste

Instructions

Mix flour with baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Rub in cold butter until crumbly.

Add milk and quickly bring into a soft dough.

Roll to 2–3 cm thick and cut rounds.

Brush with egg and bake at 200°C for 12–15 minutes.

Serve warm with jam and cream.
