Dutch Stamppot
A popular dutch home-style dish with potatoes, kale or cabbage, milk, well suited for a family weekly menu.
Ingredients
- Potatoes900 g
- Kale or cabbage300 g
- Milk120 ml
- Butter50 g
- Sausage400 g
- Mustard1 tbsp
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
Peel, cut, and boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
Finely chop kale, endive, or another leafy green.
Add the greens to the pot during the last 5 minutes of cooking, or briefly wilt them separately.
Drain, then add butter and warm milk.
Mash the potatoes and greens into a coarse mash and season with salt and pepper.
Serve with sausage, bacon, or gravy.
