British cauliflower baked in cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • cauliflower1 head
  • milk500 ml
  • flour40 g
  • butter40 g
  • cheddar180 g
  • mustard1 tsp

Instructions

Cut cauliflower into florets and boil for 5 minutes.

Make a roux with butter and flour, then gradually whisk in milk.

Cook until thickened, then add mustard and most of the cheese.

Place cauliflower in a baking dish.

Pour over the cheese sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes until browned.
